Development of the Deniyaya Weekly Fair

The proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Youth Affairs, Project Management and Southern Development, to improve and develop the Deniyaya Weekly Fair which is present in a dilapidated condition as a trade complex with 80 to 120 shops inclusive of a new road net work around the trade complex and proper sanitary facilities with a view to providing necessary facilities for daily commuters of 25,000 arriving in the Deniyaya town, was approved by the Cabinet.
