Construction of the Colombo Train Control Centre (CTCC) and the Railway Operation Headquarters (ROHQ)

- It has been planned to construct the Colombo Train Control Centre (CTCC) and Railway Operation Headquarters (ROHQ) under the Colombo Suburban Railway Efficiency Improvement Project (CSREIP) funded by the Asian Development Bank and to improve the technical facilities, in order to enhance the efficiency of the railway services in the suburban areas in Colombo. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to allocate a block of land in extent of 01 acre and 02 roods located at Maradana area, identified as being suitable for the purpose to the Sri Lanka Railway Service, was approved by the Cabinet.
