Hosting the Water and Development Congress 2019 of the International Water Association(IWA) and the Exhibition on Sustainable Solution for Water Security in Colombo

- It has been decided to host the Water and Development Congress and Exhibition organized every two years by the International Water Association, in Colombo in the year 2019. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to host the proposed congress and exhibition in Sri Lanka in September, 2019 considering the benefits to be achieved for the professional development of those interested in this field, Water and Environmental professionals, engineers, chemists, regulators and policy makers, and the service to be provided, was approved by the cabinet.
