Amending the Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka Act, No.24 of 1976
- The Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka representing 1,500 full time members professionally qualified in the field of Human Resources Management, was founded in 1959 and has been incorporated by the Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka Act, No.24 of 1976. The Cabinet has granted approval previously to amend the Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka Act, substituting its name as the 'Charted Institute of Personal Management Sri Lanka'. As such, the proposal made by the Hon. Ravindra Samaraweera, the Minister of Labour & Trade Union Relations, to publish the Draft (Amendment) Bill prepared in that regard, in the Government Gazette and subsequently present it in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
