Conducting the Workshops on 'Innovative Technologies for Increasing the Agricultural Water Productivity' and 'Smart Agriculture Extension Models' in Sri Lanka

- It has been proposed to conduct two workshops on 'Innovative Technologies for Increasing Agricultural Water Productivity' and 'Smart Agriculture Extension Models' in Sri Lanka organized jointly by the Asian Productivity Organization and the Ministry of Agriculture with a view to enhancing the productivity in the industrial and agricultural fields of member states. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Agriculture, to conduct a 5 day workshop commencing from 2018‑07‑23 to 2018‑07‑27 on 'Innovative Technologies for Increasing Agricultural Water Productivity' for encouraging towards healthy water resources management and a 5 day workshop commencing from 2018‑09‑17 to 2018‑09‑21 on 'Smart Agriculture Extensions' to make a study of the 'Smart Agriculture Extension Models and Methodologies' which are suited for member states, in Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
