Mixed Development Project for the Chalmers Granary Land at Pettah

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously to develop the Chalmers Granary Land at Pettah as a Mixed Development Project. Although proposals had been called for the Project accordingly, investors have not submitted proposals even by the due date. Considering the deliberations had with the investors who showed interest in the project when proposals were called for the purpose, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to provide the opportunity of submitting alternative proposals for the payment of the land value when the Chalmers Granary Land at Pettah is used for Mixed Development Projects and to introduce a process for the evaluation of such proposals, was approved by the Cabinet.
