Sale of Mineral Sands of Lanka Mineral Sands Limited

- Lanka Mineral Sands Limited is a state venture implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which is mainly engaged in mining, separating and selling of Ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon and Hi-TI Ilmenite. The company has called for prices to sell 25,000 MT of Ilmenite and the proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, to sell the said stock of Ilmenite at US$ 145.25 per 01MT, to M/s Rescom Mineral Trading FZE established in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (CAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
