Procurement of Container Carrier Wagons and Container Boxes to transport solid waste from Kelaniya to Aruwakkalu

- he Cabinet has granted approval previously, to construct a Municipal Solid Waste Sanitary Landfill Disposal Facility at the Aruwakkalu area in Puttalam and the contract in that regard has already been awarded. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to commence the procurement procedure to procure 34 container carrier wagons and 94 container boxes to transport the solid waste collected in the selected municipal areas in Colombo up to Aruwakkalu area, was approved by the Cabinet.
