Securing of funds for the implementation of the Primary Health Care System Strengthening Project

- A consensus has been reached with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) of the World Bank for securing funds in a sum of US$ 200 million required for the implementation of the Primary Health Care System Strengthening Project designed for strengthening the health care protection network of Sri Lanka, with special emphasis on the primary health care services. Accordingly, the Cabinet was informed by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to the effect that it has been agreed to implement this project within a period of 5 ½ years and settle this loan in 33 years with a grace period of 06 years.
