Procurement of services of International Forensic Audit Firm/s for Forensic Audits/Investigations

- In accordance with the Report furnished by the Commission of Inquiry appointed by His Excellency the President to investigate into the alleged irregularities said to have been committed in the issuance of the Central Bank Treasury Bonds, after its investigation, has recommended to conduct different Forensic Audits in respect of the matters specified thereto. A proposal has been made to obtain the services of an independent firm/s with a an exellent performance and expertise in the field and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance and Mass Media, to appoint a Consultancy Procurement Committee to select a suitable audit firm, was approved by the Cabinet.
