Procurement for the Supply, Installation, Testing and Operation of Railway Level Crossing Protection

- The contract for supply, installation, testing and operation of 25 Double Line and 175 Single Line Level Crossing Protection Systems inclusive of the requirement of Training was awarded to a consortium consisting of M/s N‑Able (Pvt.) Ltd. and M/s Uni Consultancy Services of the University of Moratuwa. The proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to extend the duration of the project by a period of 12 months taking into consideration the various issues that have cropped up in the implementation of the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
