Construction of the Hambantota 220/132kV Grid Substation and Augmentation of the existing Hambantota Grid Substation

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to award the contract for the construction of the Hambantota 220/132kV Grid Substation and augmentation of the existing 132/33 KV Hambantota Grid Substation, under the Green Power Development & Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Programme, to M/s Chint Electric Co., Ltd., for a sum of Rs,1866.49 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
