Implementation of Development Programmes in the Mannar District concurrent to the Meela'd-Un-Nabi Celebration - 2018

- Mannar district has been selected to conduct the major celebrations of the Meela'd‑Un‑Nabi - 2018 and its major event is scheduled to be conducted at the Muslim National School. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. M.H.A. Haleem, the Minister of Posts, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs, seeking the active co-operation and support of the Central Government, the Northern Provincial Council and the other institutions, in order to implement the development activities proposed to be carried out concurrent to the Meela'd‑Un‑Nabi Celebration to develop the common amenities and the infrastructure facilities of the Muslim people who have been resettled in their places of origin after being displaced and living in welfare camps for a long period of time, was approved by the Cabinet.
