Enactment of the '1990 Suwaseriya Foundation' Bill

Approval of the Cabinet has been granted to expand the pre-hospital care ambulance service presently being operated in the Western and Southern Provinces under the grant facility of the Government of India, to the other Provinces as well and to establish the '1990 Suwaseriya Foundation' for the administration of the said service. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to publish the '1990 Suwaseriya Foundation' Bill drafted by the Legal Draftsman, incorporating the provisions required for the purpose in the Government Gazette and to present it subsequently, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
