Construction of Rain Water Drainage Tunnels in the New Mutwal and Torrington Areas under the Metro Colombo Urban Development Project

- It has been planned to construct a drainage tunnel system in Mutwal and Torrington areas under the Metro Colombo Urban Development Project, for the control of floods. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to award the contract to M/s China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. Ltd., as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
