Development of Infrastructure Facilities in the Ruhuna and the Wayamba Universities

- The Government has given priority to increase the accommodation and infrastructure facilities in the State Universities. Under this programme, it has been planned to develop the infrastructure facilities in the Ruhuna and the Wayamba Universities using the provision set apart by the budget of 2018. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to construct a building for the Medical Faculty and the construction of the Nautical Study Centre Building at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ruhuna and to construct the technological faculty building at the University of Wayamba, was approved by the Cabinet.
