Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2018-04-03

Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) and the Institute of Public Enterprises of (IPE) India

- The Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration responsible for promoting the skills and the capacity building of the officers of the All Island Services of the Public Sector is in the process of expanding its relations with the recognized Foreign Educational Institutes, with a view to improving the learning and development capacity. Under this programme, a proposal has been made to enter into a MoU with the Institute of Public Enterprises of India which is a recognized Educational Institute in India.

The Agreement will cover the areas such as joint training programmes, exchange of expertise, student, academic activities, management consultancy activities and joint research. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Madduma Bandara, the Minister of Public Administration and Management, to enter into the proposed MoU, with the objective of providing public services more efficiency through the development of the capacity building of the public sector, was approved by the Cabinet.
