Obtaining a Re insurance Cover for Agricultural Crop Insurance

Measures have been taken by the Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board to implement an agricultural crop insurance scheme proposed in the Budget Proposals of 2018. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Agriculture, to award the re insurance scheme to cover the said insurance scheme to Renaisance Re Lloyds Syndicate Company, was approved by the Cabinet.
