Procurement of new components for the Gas Turbine at the Kelanitissa Combined Cycle Power Station (KCCPS)

The proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to procure the essential components required to be re installed in the Gas Turbine at the Kelanitissa Combined Cycle Power Station after operating a specific period of time, from GE BHEL-GE Gas Turbine Services (Pvt.) Ltd. in India, the local agent of the General Electric Company, the original equipment manufacturer, for a sum of Rs.582 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
