Construction of the Main Canal from Nebadagahawatta to Mahakithula Reservoir Inlet Tunnel of the North Western Province Canal Project

The proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment, to award the contract for the construction of the Main Canal from Nebadagahawatta to Mahakithula Reservoir Inlet Tunnel of the North Western Province Canal Project under the Mahaweli Water Securities Investment Programme to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, for a sum of Rs.5,505.28 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
