The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) of Sri Lanka

The Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka which was established in the year 1987 has been registered as a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act and at present, it has become one of the prominent accountancy and training institutes in Sri Lanka. A proposal has been made to incorporate the said Institution by an Act of Parliament, in order to produce the required competent Accounting Technicians for the Small and Medium Enterprise sector by further expanding the activities carried out by the Institution. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft a Bill for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
