Supply of Chemical Fertilizer for paddy cultivation of Yala Season 2018

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted to procure the chemical fertilizer required for distribution for paddy cultivation in the Yala Season 2018, by the Ceylon Fertilizer Company (Lak Pohora) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizers Ltd., (Commercial Fertilizer) under the Ministry of Agriculture. Bids have been called from the International Suppliers for this purpose.

As such, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Agriculture, to purchase 24,000 MT of Granular Urea at US$ 307.18 per 01 MT from M/s Ameropa Asia (Pvt.) Ltd., 18,000 MT of Triple Super Phosphate at US$ 333.5 per 01 MT from M/s Agri Commodities & Finance FZE and 18,000 MT of Muriate of Potash at US$ 315.85 per 01 MT from M/s Agricultural Resources and Investment (Pte) Ltd., was approved by the Cabinet.
