Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI) of Sri Lanka and the Foreign Service Academy (FSA) of Pakistan

- A proposal has been made to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI) of Sri Lanka and the Foreign Service Academy (FSA) of Pakistan, with a view to promoting the cooperation between the officers of the diplomatic services of Pakistan and Sri Lanka on training and professional development. This will generate the opportunity for improving the interaction between the foreign service officers of the two countries and for exchanging information between the foreign service officers of the two countries in the fields of Foreign Policies, International Relations, International Law and diplomatic relations. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Thilak Marapana, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to enter into the proposed MoU during the scheduled state visit of H.E. the President to Pakistan, was approved by the Cabinet.
