Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Peradeniya and the University College of Southeast Norway of the Kingdom of Norway on Cooperation in the field of Higher Education

- A proposal has been made to enter into a MoU between the University of Peradeniya and the University College of Southeast Norway of the Kingdom of Norway with the objective of strengthening a cordial co-operation in the field of Higher Education. The proposed MoU covers the activities such as conducting of Joint Research and Academic Programmes, exchange of the academic staff and the students, curriculum development etc,. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the then Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to sign the relevant MoU between the two universities, considering also the concurrence given by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister in-charge of the subject of Higher Education and Highways, was approved by the Cabinet.
