National Audit Bill

- When the National Audit Bill was taken up for discussion at the Cabinet meeting held on 20‑02‑2018, the proposed Bill was referred to the Committee appointed under the Chairmanship of Hon. (Dr.) Sarath Amunugama, the Minister of Special Assignments, to examine the observations submitted by the Minister of Finance and Mass Media and the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, and to make recommendations, if any further amendments are necessary for the proposed Bill.

Accordingly, the Cabinet having noted the recommendations made by the said Cabinet Sub‑Committee, decided to grant approval to the National Audit Bill subject to including the amendments proposed in the recommendations.
