Construction of Accommodation facilities, the Mess and the Car Park for the Police Inspectors in Slave Island

- Non‑availability of adequate accommodation, mess and vehicle parking facilities for the Police Officers in the Inspector Grade who come over or called to Colombo from various areas of the Island for special duties, has become a problem. As such, a proposal has been made to construct a 06 storeyed building in the Slave Island in Colombo, as a solution to the problem.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the then Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, to implement the construction activities of the said project at an estimated cost of Rs.468.27 million, during the period from 2018-2020, was approved by the Cabinet.
