The construction and the management of warehouse complexes in the Polonnaruwa, Kilinochchi and Ratnapura Districts

- The stores complexes constructed in the Districts of Anuradhapura, Moneragala and Mannar with the objective of storing the crop harvest of the farmers of the dry zone are operated presently, under the supervision of the District Secretaries in such Districts. In the stores complexes in the Polonnaruwa, Kilinochchi and Ratnapura where completion is nearing at present, the operational activities of the stores complexes are expected to be implemented in the year 2018 and to vest authority with the relevant District Secretaries to enter into management agreements with the Regionas Development Banks to carry out the operational activities of the stores complexes and to vest the regulation and supervision of the said activities with the relevant District Secretaries, was approved by the Cabinet.
