Awarding of the contract for the construction of the Central Expressway Section 3

- The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Japan has agreed to grant a credit facility of Japanese Yen 100 billion for the construction of the road section in extent of 32.5 km from Pothuhera to Galagedara via Rambukkana which is the Section 3 of the Central Expressway. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to award the construction contract to M/s Taisei Corporation, was approved by the Cabinet.
