The construction of a Stroke Treatment Unit at the District General Hospital in Ampara

- 'Stroke' is a leading cause of adult disabilities. Therefore, it has been decided to construct a Stroke Treatment Unit at the Ampara District General Hospital for the improvement of treatment facilities needed for stroke patients. As such, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to award the contract for the construction of the Treatment Unit to M/s Link Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd., for a sum of Rs.213.9 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
