Granting of an alternative land for the plot of land to be obtained by the Ceylon Electricity Board for the expansion of the Panadura Divisional Secretariat

- Since the existing office space of the Panadura Divisional Secretariat is inadequate, an Agreement has been reached to obtain the adjoining land in extent of 80 perches owned by the Ceylon Electricity Board, for the purpose of making the District Secretariat most spacious and to give an alternative plot of land to the Ceylon Electricity Board in lieu of same.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to allocate a land in extent of 120 perches at the Modarawila Industrial Zone belonging to the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to be granted as an alternative land for the CEB and to vest a land in extent of 124 perches located at Pattiya North, Panadura, with the Urban Development Authority instead, as a free grant, was approved by the Cabinet.
