Installation of an Aeronautical Information Management System

- Bids have been called for the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of an Aeronautical Information Management System for Sri Lanka and accordingly, a French and a Canadian company have presented their bids for the purpose. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to award the above contract to M/s Thales Air Systems S.A.S., France, for a sum equivalent to the total of Euro 3.3 million and Rs.65 million, as recommended by the Technical Evaluation Committee which evaluated the bids and the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
