Construction of the Pile Foundation of the Multi-Office Complex proposed to be constructed in the Sethsiripaya Premises

- The Urban Development Authority has planned to construct a multi-office complex to cater to the increased demand for office space within the Administrative City of Sri Jayawardenapura - Kotte. The proposed building to be constructed in the premises of Sethsiripaya will consist of 25 storeys and a floor area of 123,902 m2. The building which has been designed in line with the green building concept will comprise of modern office facilities and it is anticipated to complete the construction within a period of 3 ½ years. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.15.6 billion.

Presently, bids have been called for the construction of the pile foundation of the proposed building and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to award the contract to M/s San Piling (Pvt.) Ltd. for a sum of Rs.1,155 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
