Obtaining Consultancy Services for the supervision of the Badulla - Chenkalady Road Improvement Project (86.75 km)

- The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has provided a loan amounting to US$ 60 million to the Government of Sri Lanka for the rehabilitation and improvement of the road section from Bibile to Chenkalady, 86.75 km in length of the Badulla - Chenkalady Road. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the contract for the provision of consultancy services for the supervision of the construction of the said road section, to Resources Development Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd., for a sum of Rs.258.3 million, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Consultants Procurement Committee (CPCC), was approved by the Cabinet.
