Memorandum of Understanding between India and Sri Lanka on Co-operation in the Field of Information Technology and Electronics

- A proposal has been made to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of co-operation pertaining to Information Technology and Electronics between India and Sri Lanka and thereby promote inter-institutional co-operation and relations of the relevant institutions of the two countries. By this, it paves the way for Sri Lanka to exchange the experiences gained by India in the use of Information Technology and Electronics, in governance and public service delivery to the citizens. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to sign the proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries, was approved by the Cabinet.
