Construction of another 44 bridges by utilizing the balance of provisions of the Rural Bridges Project

- The project duration of the Rural Bridges Project implemented to construct steel bridges, with the objective of avoiding transport difficulties faced by the people in the rural areas is due to expire on 8th March 2018. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Faiszer Musthapha, the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, to design and construct 35 additional rural bridges and 09 temporary span panel bridges for each Province, by utilizing the balance of the contingencies allocated under Phase II and III of the said project and to extend the project duration up to 31st August 2018, was approved by the Cabinet.
