Construction of the buildings necessary for the Relocation of the Manning Market of Pettah in Peliyagoda

- Measures have been taken to relocate the Manning Market in Peliyagoda, since the area of land in Pettah, in which the Manning Market has been established, is due to be used as a Multi-Modal Transport Hub. The development activities of the relevant area at Peliyagoda and laying of the foundation are nearing completion.

As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to award the contract of the construction of the superstructure, which has been designed to be constructed at its next stage, to the M/s Maga Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd., for a sum of Rs.4,507 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
