Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Public Policy and Management of South Korea for training of public officers of Sri Lanka
- The responsibility of developing the capabilities of the officers belonging to the All Island Services of the Public Service of Sri Lanka is vested with the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA). At present, the institute is engaged with foreign educational institutes with the intention of expanding its network for the purpose of promoting the qualitative standards of the training programmes of the institute.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Maddumabandara, the Minister of Public Administration and Management, to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with a view to strengthening the mutual cooperation between the KDI School of Public Policy and Management which is a recognized educational institute in South Korea for the development of skills in the fields of Public Policy, Public Administration, Human Resource Management and exchange of knowledge and the SLIDA of Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
