Creating a post of Vice Principal of the Sri Lanka Law College

- Considering the importance of having a second administrative tier to entrust a part of the workload of the enormous duties to be accomplished by the Principal of the Sri lanka Law College, the Council of Legal Education has taken measures to amend the rules pertaining to the appointment of staff of the Law College, to create a post of Vice Principal of the Sri Lanka Law College.

The rules as amended prepared by the Council of Legal Education, in consultation with Minister of Justice, have been published in the Gazette Extraordinary Notification No.2047/27 dated 2017-11-28. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice, to present the said Gazette Notification in Parliament, for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
