Expediting the restoration activities of the seven storeyed building of the District General Hospital in Negombo

- The contract for the restoration of the seven storeyed building of the District General Hospital in Negombo has been vested with the State Development and Construction Corporation (SD&CC) in the year 2015. It has been observed that the said restoration activities are moving at a slow pace and as a result, the patients and the hospital staff are faced with a number of difficulties. As such, in accordance with the request made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, the Cabinet granted approval to obtain the services of the Sri Lanka Army for expediting the said construction activities.
