Purchase of two Pilot Launches for the Sri Lanka Ports Authority

- It has become necessary to purchase two (02) Pilot Launches for the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, to provide efficient navigational services to the vessels arriving at the Port of Colombo. For this purpose, a financial allocation of Rs.500 million has been made out of the funds of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe, the Minister of Ports and Shipping, to purchase two (02) Pilot Launches by calling for International Competitive Bids, was approved by the Cabinet.
