Payment of compensation for the acquisition of lands for the development activities of the George Rajapaksha Playground at Weeraketiya

- Under the Weeraketiya City Development Project, a land in extent of 0.3288 hectares has been acquired by the Urban Development Authority (UDA) for the development of the George Rajapaksha Playground. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to secure funds amounting to Rs.19.5 million required for the payment of compensation and the interest for the lands so acquired, was approved by the Cabinet.
