Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Governments of the Member States of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

- The Indian Ocean Rim Association with the objective of driving innovation and competition among the member countries, has focused its attention to connect micro-enterprises and the informal sector with large companies and international value chains and thereby, to promote Small and Medium scale Enterprises. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, for a suitable authority of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on behalf of Sri Lanka to sign the Memorandum of Understanding to be entered into between the member countries of the said Association, was approved by the Cabinet.
