Managing the Public Expenditure for the Reconstruction of Properties Damaged due to the adverse weather

- The General Treasury has already provided an additional allocation of Rs.32 billion to restore the livelihood of the affected people due to drought, flood and adverse weather during the recent times and to rehabilitate the damaged properties. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance and Mass Media, to make use of the provisions which have not been utilized so far by various ministries, so that the funds further required for the purpose, could be managed within the provisions which have already been granted, was approved by the Cabinet.
