Provision of Solar Power Systems to the Public Institutions under the Soorya Bala Sangramaya Programme

- Under the Soorya Bala Sangramaya Programme, a project has been planned to provide Solar Power Systems to the Public Institutions. The Sustainable Energy Authority has identified such public institutions where the solar power systems can be installed for the purpose and tenders have been called for to select suitable institutions for the purpose of installing these solar power systems. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to award the contracts for the installation of solar power systems in 63 Government hospitals, 13 Government schools and 01 Divisional Secretariat Division, to the institutions recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
