Extension of the Surgical / Medical Units at the Teaching Hospital at Karapitiya

- It is essential to extend the Surgical / Medical Units at the Teaching Hospital at Karapitiya in Galle, which is one of the major hospitals in Sri Lanka, in order to enhance its surgical and medical facilities. As such, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to award the contract of its construction, to M/s Subasinghe Contractors & Earth Movers for a sum of Rs.690 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
