Upgrading of the National Holiday Resorts (NHR)

- The national holiday resorts situated in Anuradhapura, Nuwara Eliya, Bandarawela and Katharagama and managed by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority are very popular among the Public Officers and the domestic holiday seekers. As such, the proposal made by Hon.John Amaratunga, the Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs, to redevelop the holiday resorts with a view to making those more attractive to tourists, was approved by the Cabinet.
