Improvement to the Existing Network Infrastructure at the Parliament

- The need for the adoption of the state-of-the-art technologies to effectively carry out the essential administrative and parliamentary functions of the Parliament of Sri Lanka has been recognized. In this regard the e-Parliament project is implemented by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA). In this respect, it is essential to improve the existing computer network infrastructure facilities and as such, the proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to adopt the Government Procurement Procedure to select an appropriate agency for the supply of the necessary equipment and the services, was approved by the Cabinet.
