Purchasing of 06 Armoured Vehicles required for the Special Task Force proposed for UN Peacekeeping Operations

- The Cabinet has granted approval previously to procure the vehicles and equipment required for the Special Task Force proposed for the UN Peacekeeping Operations. As such, bids have been called for, to purchase 06 Armoured Vehicles required to be used for the proposed programme.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, to purchase 06 Armoured Vehicles for a sum of Rs.413.59 million, Rs.68.93 million being the unit price, including tax, from M/s Securatec Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd., in accordance with the recommendations of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
