Implementation of the Global Promotion and Marketing Campaign for 'Ceylon Tea'
- The Sri Lanka Tea Board has initiated a global promotion campaign for the 'Ceylon Tea' with the primary objective of sustaining the existing demand for the Sri Lankan Tea as 'Ceylon Tea', re‑building the image of pure 'Ceylon Tea' in the lost market and establishing the Sri Lankan Tea brands in the international market. Action will be taken in terms of the Government Procurement Procedure in this regard for selecting an agency for consultancy services for the media planning, scheduling and buying.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Plantation Industries, to select the Dentsu Grant (Pvt.) Ltd. as the Consultancy Agency in that regard, for a sum of Rs.219.89 million and for a period of three (03) years, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Consultancy Committee for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
