Rajgama Urban Housing Project

- Approval of the Cabinet has been received for the Rajgama Housing Project which is being implemented by the Urban Settlement Development Authority. Under the said project, new houses will be built for 92 low income earning families including 39 families who were displaced by the Tsunami catastrophe and while implementing the project the need to renovate and upgrade 45 houses located in the same premises which are in a state of disrepair has also been identified.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing and Construction, to implement the proposed housing project so as to provide housing facilities for 137 families and also to construct a community hall as a common infrastructure facility for the village, was approved by the Cabinet.
